Red Campion, Silene dioica.

Medium/tall hairy perennial.
Leaves: pointed oval, the basal ones stalked.
Flowers: 18-25 mm, bright pink, to much paler when hybridised with White Campion; petals cleft; male and female flowers separate.
Fruit: Teeth on seed-pod rolled back.
Habitat: Rich soils, especially in or near woods or shady hedges.
